LABOR DAY PANDEMONIUM
ReSolute + Basic at the Palms
Friday September 2nd
6pm through 5am

One memorable season is coming to an end and another is set to begin. Labor Day weekend marks the transition from Summer to Fall, a farewell to the long hot days and a salute to the crisp, cool nights. And ReSolute is embracing the change – and a long weekend of celebration in New York City – with a very special event. As work ends and the sun sets, we begin on Friday, September 2nd at 6pm, as we collaborate with our friends Basic and go late into the night in Long Island City at the Palms. This is the pop-up pool party space that has emerged in an abandoned bank, and this event features three musical maestros – the Alphahouse and Little Helper label founder - and ReSolute friend – Butane; the Strength Music and Underground Quality stalwart DJ Qu; and NYC’s veteran techno and electro innovator John Selway, a trio that spans a huge spectrum of all dancefloor genres. Come for a dip in the pool and a dance on the floor, with food (dumplings from Rickshaw), drinks, and music indoors and outdoors.

You are invited to the final weekend at:

Reggie Watts
Seeing is unbelieving. There is a reason Reggie has been celebrated as one of the most incredible performers of the moment from Conan O'Brien to Spin Magazine to the New York Times. If you haven't seen the improbable mix of comedy / vocal magic that is Reggie Watts, this is your moment. If you have seen him before, you know exactly why you need to come back. (9pm)

Small Black
Their sound is a mix of eclectic beauty, dance-pop and what they call CASIOBlaze. Small Black under a beautiful sky alongside pristine pools is the perfect sound for late summer. (8pm)

Lemonade
Quixotic and intoxicating, Lemonade is a liquid mix of rough edged Brooklyn rock and West Coast influenced psychedelic dance. It's bands like Lemonade that are defining a new genre of sound that hasn't yet been named. (7pm)
